After hearing countless stories of dissatisfaction with other construction firms, we created a business centered around trust, honesty, and integrity — prioritizing relationships over profits on every project in the Clear Lake, League City, and Seabrook area.
The story
Old Glory was founded in December 2022 by Rob Hefner — a retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel who served more than 20 years in uniform, rising from private to Lieutenant Colonel and earning the Legion of Merit. The name? In Rob's words: “I may be old, but I’m still glorious!”
What started as a consulting firm merged with a remodeling company carrying three decades of experience — today the leadership team brings 20+ years in new home construction and 30+ years in remodeling. Old Glory is a certified Veteran Owned Business through the Texas Veterans Commission.
Three companies, one banner: Old Glory Renovations, Old Glory Handyman, and Old Glory Premier Home Management — working together so nothing about your home falls through the cracks.
Where every penny goes
Most contractor horror stories start with money. Ours is built to be the opposite:
- ★Line-item estimates — you see labor, materials, markup, and taxes, not one mystery number.
- ★No big draws up front. We don't ask for your money before we've earned it, outside major long-lead material purchases.
- ★Itemized weekly invoices with labor timesheets and store receipts attached, plus a running cost-to-date summary.
- ★A job lead on your project every day, and a weekly call to make sure you're satisfied.
- ★We only accept a job when we're sure we can deliver what you need.

We collaborate with S.E.R.V.E., a program helping veterans find local resources to improve their families' lives — including post-Harvey work in more than 30 veterans' homes. You'll also find us in Rotary, the Texas Navy, Toastmasters, and pulling for the community at Yachty Gras.
